Daniel, the "borrowed" teacher from Malta school

I spent a total of two months in Gozo working, and enjoying the peace and quiet of Ghajnsielem. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I found many things in Gozo: new friends, inspiration, and a new appetite for life!

I discovered that band-clubs make the best food in the world. I learnt that a school can be calm and serene, yet efficiently run at the same time. I left a little piece of my heart in Gozo, but it’s a piece that I discovered there, so I suppose that’s where it belongs.

Catherine and her team really do their best to make teachers and students feel as welcome and encouraged as possible. The care and attention given by Josephine and her crew, really made me feel at home. My air conditioned bedroom was my safe haven in the August heat.

I recommend a trip to IELS Gozo if you are looking to reconnect with yourself, with others, and the love of language.
