Home > General Pages > Activity & Welfare Leader (Summer Vacancies) Activity & Welfare Leader (Summer Vacancies) We are currently looking for a Activity & Welfare Leader (Summer Vacancies) to be responsible for guiding students and assisting the IELS Programmes with all Leisure and Welfare related aspects. This position involves working on weekends and other unsocial hours. The Activity & Welfare Leader will be responsible for all the individual welfare needs of every student both on and off site; will be required to assist in a full range of programmed activities and excursions, and offer constructive assistance as required with all aspects of the IELS School operation. Responsibilities and tasks: To accompany and lead students on excursions, ensuring their well-being, safety and enjoyment; To assist host families, where necessary, in ensuring students are returned safely to their accommodation; To carry out all tasks concerned with the setting up, administration and closing down of the programme, complying with control procedures pertaining to the organization of activities (cash, vouchers and tickets) and of the school as advised by line management; To deal with and be responsible for all the individual welfare needs of all IELS students; To vigorously encourage students to take an active part in the leisure programme, and interact throughout all activities and are accounted for; To assist with coordination of all Transport including school pickups and drop offs, and activity related to transport, as well as assisting with arrival and departure airport transfers as and when required; To meet and greet new students on the arrival day and first day of school and brief them on the rules, regulations and general information; To assist the Academic & Administration Coordinator in handling student complaints and issues, ensuring reports are answered in a timely and efficient manner; To ensure all records are kept in order regarding complaints or illnesses filed by students; To arrange doctor/dentist/hospital appointments as required and accompany students accordingly or arranging the same; To spot check hotels and venues, ensure all rules are being followed and ensuring student attendance at school and activities is regular; To ensure that any serious incidents and behavior are to be reported to the Academic & Administration Coordinator; To assist with arrival and departure transfers of IELS students.
